We booked 2 bedroom apt sleeps 5 pax. It Apt is just outside the Juifen Old street and convenient to walk around the area. It is a home stay so apt is to be expected with home feel furnitures and clean. Owner is very friendly and helpful but speaks Mandarin only. Simple breakfast offered. Besides aircon, fans are also available if too hot in apt.
This stay was fantastic, highly recommended for a family. Great location. My daughter loved the "house", beds are comfortable, house very clean, great showerhead. Breakfast was delivered to us in the morning and we enjoyed it from the small little view window. At check-out the owner strapped our luggage to his bike and met us at the bus stop so we didn't have to haul it down the stairs. I'm sure if we had called him before check in he'd have helped us bring it up as well. Overall, great value for money.
Great spot near the old street and a very nice host. Does not speak English but Google translate works fine. Good breakfast

Don't expect a hotel like Hyatt or Marriott. But this "mom&pop" place is fantastic being up in the mountains. View was spectacular. No problems with language since he had paper translation already in English.
The breakfast provided was good and we were able to eat overlooking the ocean.
Peaceful, private and away from the crowd. I love that the host allowed us to check in early because it rained when we arrived in Jiufen. We rested before touring jiufen at night. In the morning, the breakfast we requested was ready and warm. We even had a bonus fruit flatter to go with out breakfast. The unit we stayed in was cozy and super clean. Would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was good, they allow you to choose what you want on a menu when you arrive. There were many fruits in the breakfast. The place is calm and nice, and there is a view from the window. Pretty close to Jiufen old street.
Great view, spacious, and easy to get around. Our host was so kind and helpful. We love the place. Definitely will stay there again in the future.
The hosts were lovely and the room was clean and comfortable. The sea view was only from the second floor but they also have a nice outdoor sitting area with a sea view where we had our breakfast.
